Garbage pick up is done on Wednesdays and the selective collect at every two Wednesdays. The building material and old tires are not accepted.
Local buying and the environment
We are more and more bombarded with publicity to consume. As the rest, publicity being a science, it does not stop from refining to reach its goal: make us buy the product it advocates. Publicity is expensive, in this way, it is predicably only accessible to big brands, to big surfaces and that leaves very few place for local buying.
Local buying being related to smaller volumes, it is often more expensive, but at the environmental level, it has a lot of advantages; less transportation, best controls on the adding matter ( ex: pesticides, used paints, fumigation, ...), better controls over residual materials.
The planet cannot survive to the current level of consumption.
Local buying at all levels, will make us consume less and better.
